Here is an interview with Derek Webb.....not sure when it was recorded, but it includes discussion of songs from his summer 2009 album Stockholm Syndrome. Well worth the listen.
Among things discussed:
- peace & nonviolence in a very Hauerwasian manner
- juxtaposition of his concerts with church
- voting rights and responsibilities (to conscience)
- the mystery of inefficient yet redemptive uses of time
...all of this in the context of the rich reformation atonement theology that made him the poster-child of hipster calvinism. All in all, a very thought-provoking interview.
